The UP-EXT-R2 is a 19" subrack for mounting the IP/PoE extender UP-EXT-SET. Up to 16 media converters can be mounted in the subrack. The UP-EXT-R2 subrack does not supply power to the extenders. The power supply of the extenders is provided by the transmitting PoE. If PoE is not available, the UP-EXT-SETs are individually powered, see the UP-EXT-SET data sheet. The installation of the media converters is easy. The UP-EXT-R2 is supplied with all the necessary mounting accessories.

The subrack is only used for the mechanical mounting of up to 16 UP-EXT-SETs in a 19" rack. The subrack does not supply the individual extenders. The power supply for the extenders is provided by the PoE to be transmitted. If PoE is not available, the extenders must be individually supplied.
